The New American Remodel™ 2018 is a project that aimed to transform an 80-year old residence using all new products and building technologies while maintaining some of its original architectural qualities. The renovated home was revealed at the 2018 International Builders’ Show and exclusively uses Loewen windows and doors.
Making up the 2018 Project Team are Farina & Sons (remodeler), Nasrallah Architectural Group, Gribble Interior Group and Redmond Design Company (landscape architecture). Built in 1937 and located just outside of downtown Orlando, FL, the home is now in Phase 2 of the project and Loewen windows have been specified by the builder on account of their high quality and energy efficiency.

The Northeast Window & Door Association (NWDA) has agreed to merge operations with the Window & Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA).
“WDMA is excited that NWDA will be joined with WDMA to better serve window, door and skylight manufacturers and their suppliers,” said Al Babiuk, WDMA Chairman and CEO of Loewen Windows. “By merging associations we will have a stronger voice to promote, protect and advance the interests of the industry at the national level and in the Northeast.”

The Dealers of the Year award recognizes window and door retailers and distributors that demonstrate excellence in the areas of marketing, customer service, showroom design and contributions to the community and/or industry. This is the second year in a row that a Loewen Dealer has been one a Dealer of the Year award, after Loewen Window Center of Seattle won in 2015.

Rick Locke, owner/operator of Windows, Doors and More in Seattle, Wa, a Platinum Loewen Window Center, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Window & Door Dealers Alliance (WDDA) / National Glass Association.
Rick (photo above) acquired Windows, Doors & More in 2013 after a career that included ten years in the technology industry as a Director of Sales at Microsoft and twenty three years of sales, marketing and management experience in the glass and window industry with companies including Milgard Mfg., Northwestern Industries, Viracon, SAGE Electrochromics, DeaMor Associates and RGA Architectural.
Rick will be serving a 3 year term in his NGA / WDDA position. Congratulations Rick!
